About Little Notes

Gemma Hayward is a self-taught surface pattern designer, illustrator and hand-lettering artist from Leicester. She started creating artwork and learning to turn it into beautiful patterns during lockdown but has always drawn and painted with watercolour and acrylic.

Gemma turned to digital art after having her son because it fitted in with her new mum life and that’s when she fell in love with using vectors.

Little Notes Designs was created so that she could share her artwork and see her work on a variety of different products. We’re very excited about having Gemma as our May artist of the month!
