From the #winmytrove archive: everyday carry, made personal

A wallet can be a quiet part of a daily routine or a small expression of personal style. The photographs shared through #winmytrove give us a chance to see both.

For this Journal feature, we are looking back at three community photographs shared on Facebook. This is an archive selection.

Patrick Hener: a place on the desk

Patrick's photograph places a black-and-orange TROVE beside a keyboard and mouse. The dark desk setting lets the orange detail stand out, turning an everyday arrangement into a carefully composed picture.

There is a simple idea here for anyone photographing their own wallet: show it where it naturally belongs. A familiar setting can say more than an elaborate backdrop.

Alan Scott: an old favourite, a new chapter

Alan's photograph brings his previous wallet and its new replacement together. The visible wear on one and the fresh finish on the other tell the story without needing much explanation.

We shared this image in a 2024 winner announcement. Here, we are revisiting it as a reminder that customer photographs do not have to show something brand new to be worth sharing.

Sifu Cuong: a personal celebration

Posted to mark Lunar New Year 2024, this photograph shows a red TROVE with a gold dragon design against a matching festive backdrop. The wallet and its surroundings become part of the same celebration.

It is a different approach from a desk photograph or a side-by-side comparison, but just as personal. The occasion gives the image its context.

Your TROVE, your perspective
